The market of medicine is one of the biggest industries in the world. The world’s leading companies in medicine, like Pfizer Inc, make billions of dollars a year and at the same time invest a vast amount of money in R&D (Research and Development). They are constantly on the search of new treatments and medicine for a big part of the conditions human beings can suffer.

There are a number of categories in which medicine can be divided into. There are medicine that treat life threatening diseases, like cancer or aids. These diseases are incredibly hard to fight, and it’s only because of the billions of dollars that are already invested in research and development that we have the medicine for it that we now have. Still, there’s a lot of research that has to be done.
