Most times it were the wealthy people that paid poor people to be their personal aide. This still exists today. Home aide also is about medical aide performed at the patients own home. Almost all people would prefer their own home above the hospital to spend their days when ill. That’s why a lot of people get home aide when they are seriously ill. A trained medical aide is not easy to obtain and will cost you quite a lot of money. In the US there are private practitioners you can hire to give medical and health aide at your home. You could also try to get some information via your hospital or your home doctor. Home aide that doesn’t have to provide medical aide is easier to find and also a lot easier on your budget. Cleaning and housekeeping aides are often local housewives or immigrants from for instance South America. Most of those aides are found via relations who already make use  of that aide. Some of them also advertise in some local papers or at the supermarket.
